The ELEVENTH day.
Farewell meeting with the Belarusian curators and foreign teachers. Preparation and Grand closing of the camp ” The Bridge of the English language and culture – 2014″.
After Breakfast the children and teachers went on a little walk met in the garden at the camp, to communicate with their teachers to tell them the words of friendship and gratitude, and just have a good time together outdoors.
After lunch and rest, the guys have played a football and table tennis, and then went to the dress rehearsal of the camp.
At the closing ceremony all participants of the project were solemnly awarded with gifts. Each received a certificate of participation in the camp and bags with the logo of the camp.
After the introductory rooms first went to the scene of the Chairman of the NGO “Belarusian Association of UNESCO clubs” Subcelny Dmitry.
Dmitry Subcelny in his speech also underlined that the project “The Bridge to the English language and culture” makes its invaluable contribution to the development of the program “Culture of Peace” and is a vivid example of an embodiment of the ideals of this programme in practice.
As Dmitry Subcelny he commended the Director of the school of foreign teachers and organizers of the project.
Directors of camp “The Bridge of the English language and culture – 2014” Vasily Demidchik and Martynas Galkus congratulated children with new achievements and results, which the guys have managed to achieve and in solemn conditions has handed over certificates.
Then the concert was followed by the speeches of the children.
At the end of the evening Dmitry Subcelny again took to the stage. He again thanked the project team for their work and wished them new meetings in the camp.
Solemnly sounded anthem of the United Nations and made a flag of the UN.
Camp “The Bridge of theEnglish language and culture – 2014” said farewell to their participants. Good luck to you, my dear children! See you next year!
The TENTH day. Day the young Sherlock
After class, which passed in a regular mode, participants suggested in your quest. The guys had to find a piece of mystery that had guided them to the next task. All teams have captured the spirit of victory, and they violently tasks. Guessed what one riddle in English, they quickly moved to another stage.
After the tea had been proposed workshops in which all learned a lot of new and interesting. Photography, dancing, judo, healing magic, Board games, how to fold a Rubik’s cube and many other topics were proposed by the participants themselves. Each Cabinet was dominated by a cosy atmosphere, and each was interesting. Thanks to all the guys were involved in the workshops.
In the evening, orders were given to reflection more time than usual. Some were sitting around the campfire and sing songs, and someone played outdoor games and table games.
That evening, the boys felt the approach of the end of the project, and therefore he was filled with sincere emotions and experiences.
The EIGHTH day. UNESCO day
Good morning! What could be better than dancing in the morning? Charging decided to spend it in an unusual form with incendiary music.
Elated guys went to explore new aspects of the English language. As the morning was warm and Sunny, the group played in the fresh air.
After class project participants spoke about UNESCO, the Belarusian Association of UNESCO clubs, the UNESCO clubs and networks YPEER.
After the story and the video guys banded together and discussed what should be a volunteer. After discussion, the group joined forces and presented the result of their work. Presented various posters with pictures, how to be a volunteer. Ideas were different, but all the faithful, memorable and creative.
Today participants were offered a free lecture on which the group played various games. Someone has captured the ship, someone made swords out of balloons, some played forfeits all found something interesting here.
On this day, the teams proposed to spend more time together. Sang songs around the campfire, played table and outdoor games and just talked. The day was a great success, and this will confirm each.
The SEVENTH day. The UN Day
Good morning! Today is going to be a very intensive day.
As usual the morning started with the energizers and some physical activities. After that new teachers were waiting for the participants at the lessons. As the weather was great, the groups went outside and the teachers introduced themselves and got acquainted with the new students. The participants played some active games as well.
After the lunch an important guest came to the camp – Sanaka Samarasinkha, the UN Resident Coordinator in Belarus. He told about the UN, it’s mission and goals. The students had a chance to ask various questions. After that a group photo was made and the activities continued.
In the evening the building where we live was ceased by the monsters and fairy-tale characters. The students actively prepared to the monster-party as they were waiting for it for a long time. At the party they showed the dances that they prepared and participated in the “best-costume” contest. Zombie, Joker, the White Queen and the Queen of Spades… It took a long time for the judges to decide who would be the winner as all the participants were prepared very well.
The day ended well and all the participants are looking forward to the next day.
